BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon on Tuesday inspected an abandoned two-story school building at Responsible Village Leaders Learning Academy High School that has been stalled due to lack of funding.
The project was originally scheduled for completion in 2025 but remains unfinished.
Dizon said he would coordinate with the Department of Education to prioritize completing the building, which requires an estimated P30 million pesos in additional funding.
Dizon also asked local government officials to finish construction of a road connecting to the school by June to provide students easier access to the campus.
The Department of Public Works and Highways oversees the planning, design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and government buildings throughout the Philippines.
