Cavite Police Arrest 22 Wanted Persons in Daily Manhunt Operation

Philippine National Police in Cavite arrested 22 wanted individuals in a daily manhunt operation on Monday, authorities said.

A regional-level most wanted person, identified as 26-year-old “Edgardo” from Dasmariñas City, was apprehended by the Bacoor Component City Police Station for rape. He was wanted under a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 118 in Bacoor City, Cavite, with no bail recommended.

In a separate operation, the Bacoor police station also arrested two city-level most wanted individuals, “Carlo” and “Jerome,” for robbery and violating Section 12 of Article 2 of the Republic Act 9165.

The Provincial Intelligence Unit and the Dasmariñas City Police Station arrested a provincial-level most wanted person, “Nene,” for violating Section 11 of the Republic Act 9165. The suspect was wanted under a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 128 in Dasmariñas City, with a fixed bail of P200,000 pesos.

Other arrests included a city-level most wanted person, “Godelim,” 25, for violating Section 11 of the Republic Act 9165; provincial-level most wanted individuals “Elmer” and “Allan” for violating Section 5, Article II of the Republic Act 9165; and a city-level most wanted person, “Oni,” for violating Section 11, Article II of the Republic Act 9165.

The Imus City Police Station, General Mariano Alvarez Municipal Police Station, and Rosario Municipal Police Station also arrested several municipal-level most wanted individuals for various crimes, including robbery and acts of lasciviousness.

Twelve other wanted individuals were also arrested across the province, the Cavite PNP said.

Provincial Director PCOL Eleuterio Ricardo Jr. highlighted the Cavite PNP’s efforts in apprehending wanted individuals.

“Our campaign against those who hide from the law will continue,” Ricardo said. “We are working closely with the people of Cavite to bring justice to the victims. In the new Philippines, the police’s goal is to keep you safe.”
