DASMARIÑAS, Cavite — Emilio Aguinaldo College’s Cavite campus has broken ground on the EAC International Center, a facility meant to expand healthcare education, clinical and professional training, and academic partnerships with institutions abroad.
The center will serve as a hub for learning, skills development and global collaboration, the college said. It is the latest addition to the development of the EAC-Cavite campus in Dasmariñas.
The college said the project supports its commitment to quality education across its programs, including nursing, medical technology, allied health sciences and other fields.
EAC offers programs from basic education through professional degrees. Once the center is completed, the college said, it will strengthen EAC-Cavite’s standing as a leading educational institution in Dasmariñas and across the province.
The college is named after Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, the first president of the Philippines, who was born in Kawit, Cavite, and declared the country’s independence from Spain there on June 12, 1898. Its main campus is in Manila, and the Dasmariñas campus extends its reach into one of the country’s most populous provinces.
Dasmariñas, about 30 kilometers south of Manila, has become one of Cavite’s main education centers, home to a number of colleges and universities serving students from the province and nearby areas.
The center’s focus on healthcare training reflects long-running demand for Filipino health professionals. The Philippines is among the world’s largest sources of nurses working overseas, and schools that train them have increasingly sought international ties to align curricula and clinical training with global standards.
For EAC, which has long been known for its health sciences programs, the center is intended to give students more exposure to professional training and international academic networks. The college said its goal is to develop competent, globally competitive and future-ready graduates.
