DASMARINÑAS, CAVITE — Authorities seized suspected marijuana and oil worth thousands of pesos during a recent joint operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) confiscated approximately 40 grams of suspected marijuana kush valued at P60,000 pesos and 65 grams of liquid substance suspected to be marijuana oil in 65 flavored disposable vape pens worth P227,500 pesos.
The operation, conducted by the PDEA Cavite Provincial Office, PDEA Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team 2, Cavite Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and Dasmariñas City Police Station, resulted in the arrest of two suspects at 8:40 p.m. in Barangay Sampaloc IV, Dasmariñas City.
Melvin Cruz, 29, alias “Boss Melvin,” and Alexandra Nicole Cruz, 29, alias “Nicole,” both residents of Phase 1, St. Charbel, Barangay Sampaloc IV, were taken into custody.
The suspects, who are married and reportedly high-value drug personalities, will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
