TANZA, Cavite — Police have arrested suspected members of a theft syndicate believed to be behind the stealing of an estimated P80,000 from an Alfamart branch in Barangay Mulawin, Tanza, Cavite.
The Tanza Municipal Police Station, led by Lt. Col. Chester Borlongan, conducted a manhunt operation that tracked down the suspects in Pandacan, Metro Manila.
The group is suspected of being a “salisi gang,” a term used for thieves who steal from stores or establishments by distracting staff or exploiting momentary lapses in attention.
No further details on the number of suspects arrested or the charges to be filed were immediately available.
