DRUG DEN RAID NETS 7 SUSPECTS IN IMUS CITY
IMUS CITY, Cavite — Seven suspected drug pushers and users were arrested Thursday night after joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cavite and the Imus City Police Station raided an alleged drug den in Barangay Pasong Buaya II.
Authorities said the buy-bust operation was launched at around 7:50 p.m., resulting in the arrest of seven Imus City residents identified only by their aliases: “Darrel,” 35; “Ruston,” 32; “Christian,” 28; “Bryan,” 37; “Denzel,” 29; “Sherwin,” 45; and “Clarence,” 42.
Operatives seized an estimated 27 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of approximately P183,600, along with buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia, and a mobile phone believed to have been used in illegal drug transactions.
The PDEA said the location had long been under surveillance due to reports of rampant drug dealing and use in the area.
The suspects now face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities renewed their call for public cooperation in the anti-drug campaign to maintain peace and order in the community.
