P3.5M shabu seized in Bacoor buy-bust; 3 high-value drug suspects arrested
BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Police arrested three suspected high-value drug dealers and seized some 518 grams of shabu worth an estimated P3.52 million in a buy-bust operation at a mall parking lot in Barangay San Nicolas 2 on Thursday.
The suspects, identified by the aliases “Popoy,” “Archie,” and “Cathy,” all adults, were on the police’s High Value Individual list, according to Bacoor Component City Police Station chief Lt. Col. Alexie Desamito.
Desamito said the operation was carried out by the station’s Drug Enforcement Team following several days of surveillance. A poseur-buyer was used to transact with the suspects, who were arrested at the exchange and attempted to flee.
Recovered from the suspects were five medium-sized plastic sachets of shabu, two P1,000 buy-bust bills, P100,000 in boodle money, an Android mobile phone believed to have been used in coordinating illegal activities, and a vehicle used in their operations.
Bacoor police called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in their communities to help maintain peace and order in the city.
