BACOOR CITY, Cavite — A student from Queens Row Elementary School has brought home a national championship for Bacoor City after winning the Photojournalism – Filipino category at the National Schools Press Conference 2026 held in Ormoc City.
Maria Andrea T. Barrameda impressed judges with her work, demonstrating depth of observation, creativity, and the ability to tell meaningful stories through images — qualities the competition looks for in student journalists.
The City Schools Division of Bacoor said the win was not only a personal achievement for Barrameda but also a testament to the city’s ongoing efforts to promote excellence in campus journalism.
The National Schools Press Conference is an annual competition organized by the Department of Education that brings together the country’s top student journalists to showcase their skills across various fields of reporting and media.
School officials said Barrameda’s achievement was expected to inspire fellow students to continue developing their writing, photography, and reporting skills.
