IMUS, Cavite — Acting Cavite Police Provincial Director Col. Dwight E. Alegre, along with Tagaytay City Police Station officer-in-charge Lt. Col. Jefferson P. Ison and Alfonso Municipal Police Station chief Maj. Edward B. Cantano, was interviewed Sunday by ABS-CBN at Mayo Hall, Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia.
During the interview, Alegre discussed the recent arrest of suspects involved in a cadaver dumping case that occurred in Tagaytay City on April 7 and later in Alfonso, Cavite, on April 12, 2025.
“Through the relentless and coordinated efforts of our Tagaytay police personnel, with support from other police stations in Cavite and neighboring provinces, we were able to apprehend the gunman from Angono, Rizal, and his cohort in Dasmariñas City,” Alegre said.
“These individuals were involved in dumping the victims’ bodies and concealing an SUV owned by Mr. Dexter. We also located the body of Mr. Ruel in Barangay Buckstates, Alfonso.”
Police teams led by Ison and Cantano are currently conducting follow-up operations to identify and charge other suspects still at large.
Alegre urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities to help maintain peace and order in the community.
“Your awareness and cooperation can make a significant difference,” he said.
