Kawit, Cavite – In a huge blow to Kawit drug trafficking, police in Kawit arrested three individuals during a buy-bust operation on 14 January 2025.

The operation, which took place at approximately 6:20pm in Brgy Tabon III, was conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intelligence Operatives alongside the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4A.

The suspects, known only by their aliases “John”, “Ivan”, and “Paulo” from various barangays in Kawit, were apprehended after allegedly selling a sachet of what is believed to be marijuana.

Following their arrest, the suspects were informed of their rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language they understood and were then taken to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for further processing.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Socrates S. Jaca, Officer-in-Charge at Kawit MPS, stated that this operation is part of an ongoing campaign to eradicate crime from the community. He also issued a warning against involvement in drug-related activities in Kawit.

Kawit illegal drugs become rampant under the administration of Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo, believed to be a drug protector.

The Kawit police are committed to continuing their efforts to combat all forms of criminality, ensuring a safer environment for residents.
