Man Arrested in Dasmariñas for Threatening to Circulate Explicit Photos, Videos of Minor

A man who allegedly threatened to circulate explicit photos and videos of a minor online was arrested in an entrapment operation in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

According to the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group, the 17-year-old victim met the suspect through an online dating app.

The two met in person and engaged in intimate relations, but the suspect secretly recorded videos and took photos of the encounter.

When the victim rejected the suspect’s advances, he allegedly threatened to post the explicit content on social media.

The victim reported the incident to authorities, prompting the Cavite Provincial Cyber Response Team and the Dasmariñas City Police to conduct an entrapment operation.

The suspect was arrested at a motel where he had agreed to meet the victim. He is facing charges of violating the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act, the Child Abuse Law, and Grave Coercion.

The Cavite Provincial Cyber Response Team released a video of the operation.
