Marijuana, Related Products Seized in Gen Trias Buy-Bust Operation

GEN TRIAS, Cavite — Authorities seized marijuana and related products during a buy-bust operation in General Trias City, Cavite, on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Joint operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cavite Provincial Office, PDEA Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team 2, Cavite Police Provincial Office, Cavite Drug Enforcement Unit, and General Trias City Police Station conducted the operation at 5:50 p.m. in Sitio Alangilan, Barangay Pascam II.

The operation led to the arrest of two high-value drug personalities: Beverly Lazario y Morales, 27, alias “Amen,” and Grazielle Joyce Solis y Perez, 29, alias “Potlocca.” Morales is a resident of Barangay Pascam II, while Solis is a resident of Barangay Molino III, Bacoor City, Cavite.

Seized during the operation were approximately 14 grams of suspected marijuana dried leaves, 27,750 grams of solid substances (cookies), 200 grams of butter with suspected marijuana extract, 1,200 ml of chili oil garlic with suspected marijuana oil, 286 gelatin capsules, and 39,750 ml of liquid substances.

Authorities also confiscated buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia and equipment.

The suspects, who are being held at the PDEA Region IV-A Detention Facility in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
