A man has been killed in his home in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, in what police believe was linked to a previous conflict.

Prudencio Macaspac Jr was shot at his residence in Barangay Salawag on Sunday. He was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival due to gunshot wounds from a 9mm calibre pistol.

Local police reports state that the suspect, identified only as Jerby, fled the scene on a motorcycle immediately after the shooting.

Authorities are investigating the incident and suspect the motive was related to a past disagreement between the two men.

Police are continuing their search for the suspect. No further details have been released at this time.
