Police in Dasmariñas City, Cavite province, arrested a man identified only as “John” on Wednesday, describing him as the region’s most wanted person.

The suspect was apprehended in Barangay Victoria Reyes following an intelligence-driven operation by the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station, according to local police chief Lieutenant Colonel Julius B. Balano.

“John,” a resident of Barangay Paliparan 3, was arrested on a warrant for rape issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 129 in Dasmariñas City. No bail was recommended.

Colonel Eleuterio M. Ricardo Jr., Cavite Provincial Police Director, emphasized the force’s ongoing efforts to apprehend wanted individuals. “We continue our campaign to arrest and hold accountable those hiding from the law, to provide justice for their victims,” Ricardo said in a statement.

The arrest is part of a broader initiative dubbed “New Philippines, Safe with the Police,” aimed at enhancing public safety and law enforcement effectiveness in the province.
