Security Guard Arrested in Kawit Fatal Stabbing

KAWIT, Cavite: A security guard was arrested July 4 for allegedly killing a fellow guard in Kawit, Cavite province, local police said.

Authorities found the victim’s body in a fishpond with stab wounds to the arms and torso.

A blood-stained logbook and kettle were discovered in a nearby barracks, while the machete believed to be the murder weapon was recovered at the crime scene.

The suspect, who worked alongside the victim, is in police custody and faces a murder charge, according to officials.

Police did not immediately release the names of those involved or provide a motive for the killing.
