DASMARIÑAS, Cavite – A parked 10-wheeler HOWO dump truck was set ablaze by five unidentified men on Silang-Paliparan Road in Barangay Paliparan 1, Dasmariñas City, Cavite province, early Saturday morning, local authorities reported.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. local time. The truck belongs to Nelson Ching of Metro Waste Solid Waste Management Corporation.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) responded promptly after receiving a report from the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station. The fire was declared out at 5:44 a.m.
Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident. No arrests have been made so far.
The motive behind the arson attack remains unclear.
