In a significant crackdown on illegal narcotics in the Philippines, a high-value individual was apprehended during a buy-bust operation conducted by police forces in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
The suspect, known by the alias “Anjo,” was detained on morning of May 17 after being caught in possession of a substantial quantity of methamphetamine, locally referred to as shabu.
The operation, which took place in a residential area of Dasmariñas, resulted in the seizure of approximately 1,800 grams of shabu.
The street value of the confiscated drugs is estimated to be around PHP 12,240,000, highlighting the scale of the trade that the authorities are combatting.
The Cavite Provincial Police Office, which spearheaded the operation, has been actively involved in a series of successful drug busts in the region. This latest arrest underscores the ongoing efforts of the Philippine National Police to curb the distribution of illegal substances across the country.
