The economic performance of CALABARZON, one of the most dynamic regions in the Philippines, has seen a significant upswing, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
The region’s economy grew by 5.3% in 2023, marking a rise from ₱2.94 trillion to ₱3.10 trillion.
This robust growth has led to CALABARZON being recognized as the most progressive economy outside the National Capital Region (NCR).
The region’s economic growth has been fueled by the major industries in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon. These include industrial zones and manufacturing facilities, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, and financial and insurance activities. These sectors have played a pivotal role in driving the region’s economic growth, contributing to its status as a powerhouse of the Philippine economy.
