A man, identified as a former barangay councilor, was killed on the spot after being ambushed by two men on a motorcycle in Brgy. Salinas I, Bacoor City, Cavite yesterday.
The victim has been identified as Eleuterio Calilung III. According to the investigation by the Bacoor City Police Station, Calilung was driving home on 6th Street when he was approached by two men on a motorcycle. They immediately fired several shots at his vehicle and quickly fled in an unknown direction.
Authorities are currently facing a blank wall on the identities of the two perpetrators and their motive for the shooting. The investigation into the crime is ongoing.
