In a significant crackdown on drug-related crime, Kawit Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PLTCOL Richard D Corpuz, has arrested two individuals suspected of violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of RA 9165.

The operation, which took place last week in Brgy. Gahak, Kawit, Cavite, was part of an intensified campaign against all forms of criminality. The suspects, known only as “Al” from Brgy Batong-Dalig, Kawit, Cavite, and “Baylen” from Brgy San Rafael 3, Noveleta, Cavite, were apprehended following a successful buy-bust operation conducted in coordination with the PDEA-4A.

Upon arrest, the suspects were found in possession of a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a substance suspected to be “Shabu”. They were promptly informed of their constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language they understood.

The suspects have since been transported to Kawit Municipal Police Station for further processing and appropriate legal action. This operation serves as a stern warning to the public about the consequences of engaging in illegal drug activities, reinforcing the police’s ongoing commitment to preventing and eradicating crime within the community.
