A suspected drug dealer was arrested and P170,000 worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, on Thursday, February 28, 2024.

The Cavite Provincial Police Office (CPPO) identified the suspect as alias “Ford”, 43, a resident of Barangay Sta. Lucia, Dasmariñas City.

According to CPPO director Colonel Eleuterio Ricardo Jr., the suspect was caught selling shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Sta. Lucia around 9 p.m.

The police recovered five sachets of shabu weighing about 25 grams, an Android cellphone, a Honda Click motorcycle, and a 500-peso bill used as marked money from the suspect.

The suspect is now under the custody of the CPPO’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) for proper disposition and filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The seized shabu will be submitted to the Cavite Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.

Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas, regional director of the Police Regional Office Calabarzon, lauded the CPPO and the PDEU for their successful anti-drug operation.

He also urged the public to support the Philippine National Police’s campaign against criminality and illegal drugs in the province.

“Let us work together and continue our intensified campaign against criminality in our province,” he said.
