Teen Burned, Two Houses Gutted in Imus Fire

A fire broke out in a residential area in Imus, Cavite, injuring a teenage boy and destroying two houses on Monday afternoon.

The Imus City Fire Station said that the 17-year-old victim sustained second-degree burns and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

No fatalities were reported in the incident.

The fire started at around 3:06 p.m. in Brgy. Medicine 1-C and quickly spread to the adjacent house.

Firefighters responded to the scene and put out the flames by 3:34 p.m.

The fire station said that two families, consisting of 10 individuals, were affected by the fire. The estimated damage to property was P50,000.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but initial reports indicated that it may have been triggered by faulty electrical wiring.
