Police Arrest Rape Suspect in Cavite

A man wanted for rape was arrested by the police in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite on Sunday.

The suspect, who goes by the alias “Joseph,” was the fourth most wanted person in the province, according to the Cavite Police Provincial Office.

He was accused of raping a woman in 2022, and had a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court in Carmona City, Cavite. The court did not grant him bail.

The police said they conducted an intelligence-driven operation to locate and capture the suspect, who was hiding in Barangay Teniente Tiago, General Mariano Alvarez.

The suspect was brought to the General Mariano Alvarez Municipal Police Station for processing and detention.

The Cavite police said they will continue to pursue other fugitives in the province to ensure justice for the victims of crime.
