In a remarkable display of fitness and camaraderie, nearly 1,400 cyclists took to the streets of Imus City, Cavite, for the second annual Sun Life Cycle PH event.

The event, which champions a healthy lifestyle, saw a 38% increase in participation compared to last year, signalling a growing interest in cycling and wellness.

Sun Life ambassador and renowned athlete, Piolo Pascual, led the participants through a series of rides, including a 60km individual and corporate ride, a 45km ride, and a 30km ride. The event also catered to families, with specially designed kid-friendly biking paths and 500-meter solo rides for children.

Imus City Mayor, Alex Advincula, praised the event, stating, “Cavite will always be a home for families to enjoy events and activities that encourage a healthier and happier quality of life.” He added that the city has been partnering with Sun Life and IRONMAN Philippines for five years to promote such initiatives.

Sun Life has committed to continue advocating for the health and wellness of the community, with efforts aimed at ensuring accessible healthcare within Barangays and remote areas. The company also supports events that challenge individual athletes and hobbyists, and encourage the local community towards an active and quality lifestyle.
