Cavite’s Most Wanted Car Thief Captured

In a significant breakthrough, Cavite’s most elusive car thief was apprehended on March 28, 2024, in General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), Cavite.

The arrest was the result of a meticulously planned operation by the Warrant personnel of Silang Municipal Police Station.

The suspect, known by the alias “Bogs”, had been on the run, evading the law enforcement agencies.

A resident of Barangay Marinig, Cabuyao, Laguna, “Bogs” was wanted for the crime of Carnapping under the Republic Act 10883.

The operation, led by the Chief of Police, PLTCOL LOUIE DC GONZAGA, was a culmination of extensive surveillance and monitoring. The arrest was made possible by a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 109, Carmona, Cavite, under Criminal Case No. CAR-2023-60.

“Bogs” now faces charges under the Carnapping Act, with the court setting the bail at a substantial P300,000.00.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office, in a statement, reiterated its commitment to ensuring that individuals with outstanding warrants are brought to justice. This arrest marks a significant victory in their ongoing efforts to maintain law and order in the region.
