Dasmariñas tops Cavite’s richest local governments; Carmona posts biggest asset growth
DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite — Dasmariñas City ranked first among Cavite’s 10 richest local government units in 2025, with total assets of 15.665 billion pesos ($270 million), according to data attributed to the Commission on Audit.
Carmona City was second with 13.481 billion pesos, followed by Tagaytay City with 13.015 billion pesos.
Carmona recorded the highest growth rate among the 10 LGUs, with its assets rising 76.34%. Tagaytay’s assets grew 29.82%, and Silang’s rose 19.55%.
Bacoor City ranked fourth with 9.396 billion pesos in assets, followed by General Trias City with 8.931 billion pesos, Imus City with 8.760 billion pesos and Silang with 5.713 billion pesos.
Trece Martires City was eighth with 4.915 billion pesos, Tanza ninth with 2.171 billion pesos and Naic 10th with 2.158 billion pesos.
General Trias’ assets grew 16.02%, Tanza’s 15.03%, Naic’s 13.14%, Imus’ 11.97% and Trece Martires’ 8.12%.
Despite its top ranking, Dasmariñas recorded growth of only 2.98%, while Bacoor’s assets rose 2.19%.
Total assets of a local government include buildings, land, infrastructure, equipment, cash and other property listed in financial reports. A high asset value does not necessarily mean an LGU has the largest annual budget, the highest revenue or the most money available to spend.
Still, total assets indicate the scale of resources each local government manages.
As communities expand and more infrastructure and businesses emerge in Cavite, the management of public assets and funds is expected to remain a key issue.
