ROSARIO, Cavite — The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) is pushing forward with the construction of a P273.69-million-peso ($4.7 million) multipurpose building inside the Cavite Economic Zone, part of ongoing upgrades to facilities and infrastructure at the industrial hub.

PEZA has opened the bidding process to select a contractor for the project, which has an approved budget of P273,690,818.48 pesos, according to the agency’s September procurement notice.

A pre-bid conference is set for Sept. 11, with the opening of bids scheduled for Sept. 25, 2026.

PEZA earlier procured design and engineering planning services for the building, allocating 7 million pesos for that work.

The multipurpose building is one of several infrastructure projects PEZA is pursuing this year within the Cavite Economic Zone. Others include the repair and improvement of drainage systems, road resurfacing, construction of a public transport terminal, and upgrades to emergency response facilities.

PEZA has set aside 25.98 million pesos for drainage improvements along several roads in the zone, and 22.23 million pesos for resurfacing roads in CEZIA and East Avenue.

An additional P3.91 million pesos has been allocated for the planned public transport terminal inside the Cavite Economic Zone.

The Cavite Economic Zone is one of several economic zones administered by the government through PEZA. It hosts factories and companies that manufacture goods for export.

Construction of the multipurpose building is expected to proceed once the contractor selection process is completed and the contract is awarded.
