BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Police arrested three suspected street-level drug dealers in a buy-bust operation Friday night in Kablusan, Barangay Zapote 3, in this city.
The Bacoor City Component Police Station identified the suspects by their aliases: “Rey,” a resident of Las Piñas City, and “Ian” and “Rei,” both residents of Bacoor City.
Police said the station’s Drug Enforcement Team carried out the operation in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at about 7:20 p.m.
Officers seized five heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu, weighing a total of 13 grams and valued at an estimated ₱88,400 based on standard drug pricing, police said. They also recovered ₱500 in marked money used in the operation and a pouch.
The operation was briefly disrupted when one of the suspects attempted to flee, police said. The suspect fell while trying to evade officers, sustaining injuries before being chased down and arrested.
The seized substances will be turned over to the Cavite Provincial Forensic Unit in Imus City for laboratory testing. Authorities are preparing documents to file charges and are set to undergo inquest proceedings at the Office of the City Prosecutor.
