GMA, Cavite family pleads for help as resident among 4 missing in Tarlac bridge collapse
GMA, Cavite — A family from GMA, Cavite is appealing for help after their relative was among four people who went missing when a vehicle plunged into the Tarlac River following the collapse of Agana Bridge on the night of Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026.
Shanen Tuhao, a GMA, Cavite resident, is among the four missing individuals, according to relatives, who said they lost contact with her after the incident and are now appealing to the public to pray for the victims’ safety and share any information that could aid the search.
Search, rescue and retrieval operations are ongoing, according to the Tarlac City local government unit, which said multiple agencies are working together to locate the victims.
Rescuers, however, are struggling against heavy rain and strong river currents that have made it too dangerous to deploy boats and other floating equipment. Poor weather has also grounded drones that would otherwise aid in the search.
The family is urging anyone with information relevant to the search and rescue operation to come forward.
