TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — A 22-year-old man suspected of killing a motorcycle rider and stealing the victim’s motorcycle was arrested after authorities tracked him down in a follow-up operation in Tondo, Manila.
Police identified the suspect by the alias “Eman,” a resident of Road 10, Aroma, Barangay 105, Tondo, Manila. He was arrested around 5 a.m. on July 14, 2026 in an operation led by the Trece Martires Component City Police Station with other Philippine National Police units.
Investigators said “Eman” is believed to be involved in the shooting that killed Ren Ren Lota De La Viga in Carmona, Cavite. Following the killing, the suspect allegedly took the motorcycle of another victim identified by the alias “Rodmar,” a Honda Click 125 that was later recovered in the operation.
The investigation also found that the suspect had allegedly used the slain victim’s Facebook Messenger account to pose as him and ask the victim’s sibling for money through GCash. Through an intelligence operation, police tracked the store where the money was to be picked up and arrested the suspect there as he was claiming the transaction.
A body search recovered from “Eman” a .45-caliber pistol with no serial number, a loaded magazine and seven rounds of ammunition. The stolen Honda Click 125 bearing plate number 0238GH was also recovered.
The suspect was informed of his rights before being brought into custody at the Trece Martires Component City Police Station. Authorities are preparing to file criminal charges against him with the Office of the City Prosecutor.
Police said the investigation is continuing to determine whether the suspect had other accomplices and whether he is linked to other crimes in the province.
