CAVITE — The Cavite Provincial Police Office and the Department of Education Cavite Province held a joint meeting Monday to address student safety amid a series of crimes involving students inside schools.

The meeting brought together Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres, CESO V, and Cavite Provincial Police Director Col. Ariel R. Rec on June 22, 2026.

Officials said the meeting aimed to strengthen collaborative efforts among various sectors to ensure the safety and security of students, teachers, and school personnel across the province.

Among the priorities discussed were enhanced campus security measures to prevent threats or planned incidents inside schools, closer cooperation between DepEd and local authorities, and a sharper focus on student and teacher safety.

Authorities said the initiative is expected to foster a more peaceful and conducive learning environment for Cavite’s youth, and reflects proactive steps by leadership to prevent violence or other incidents on campuses.
