BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Police drug enforcement operatives arrested two high-value drug suspects and seized some 55 grams of shabu worth an estimated P374,000 pesos in a buy-bust operation here Wednesday night, authorities said.
Operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group’s Special Operations Unit 4A, backed by the Bacoor Component City Police Station’s drug enforcement unit, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group, carried out the operation at about 8:57 p.m. along Villar Road in Barangay San Nicolas 1.
The suspects, identified by their aliases “Kuruliu,” 21, and “Jhanmark,” 30, were both classified as high-value individuals, the PNP DEG said.
Aside from the illegal drugs, operatives also confiscated undisclosed non-drug items from the suspects.
The two were taken to the Bacoor Component City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition, while the seized evidence was turned over to Regional Forensic Unit 4A for laboratory examination.
PNP DEG Director Brig. Gen. Elmer Ragay said the operation underscored the unit’s commitment to dismantling the supply chain of high-value drug personalities.
“This accomplishment highlights the unit’s vigilance and dedication in dismantling the supply chain of high-value drug personalities, ensuring safer communities and upholding the rule of law,” Ragay said.
