Mekeni Food Corporation honored more than 1,400 employees at a company anniversary celebration, marking four decades of operations with an evening of recognition, entertainment, and the unveiling of a refreshed corporate vision.

The event, held at the Laus Group Events Centre in San Fernando, carried the theme “Pasasalamat: Apat na Dekadang Kwento sa Bawat Timpla” — roughly, “Gratitude: Four Decades of Stories in Every Blend” — a nod to the company’s identity as one of the Philippines’ leading processed meat manufacturers.

Mekeni Food Corporation, headquartered in Pampanga, was established in 1985 and has grown into one of the country’s most recognized meat processing brands, known for products including longganisa, tocino, hotdogs, and corned beef. The company has built much of its brand around Kapampangan culinary heritage and has expanded its distribution to markets across the Philippines and abroad.

President Pruds Garcia credited the company’s four-decade run to collective effort across its workforce.

“Every Mekeni product carries the story of the people behind it. This celebration is our gratitude to the employees who helped build and grow the company,” Garcia said.

The program featured a Service Awards segment recognizing long-tenured employees for their contributions to the company’s growth. The occasion also served as the launch of Mekeni’s updated Vision, Mission, and Values statement, which the company described as a guiding framework for its next phase of growth.

Assistant Vice President for Marketing Kat Gomez-Schultz said it was important for the company to remain anchored to the principles that had sustained it over the past 40 years.

Among the evening’s highlights, top-performing employees who met difficult targets in fiscal year 2025 were rewarded with an Asian cruise from March 3 to 9, with port calls in Ishigaki, Japan, and Keelung, Taiwan.

Assistant Vice President for Human Resources and Exports Marilou Uy said the recognition programs reflected the company’s commitment to valuing employee dedication and talent.
