2 suspected drug personalities nabbed in Silang buy-bust; P5.1M shabu seized
SILANG, Cavite — Two suspected high-value drug personalities were arrested after a buy-bust operation netted some 750 grams of suspected shabu worth an estimated ₱5.1 million in Barangay Puting Kahoy at around 5 p.m. Sunday, March 2.
Authorities identified the suspects only by their aliases — “Nora,” 36, married, and described as a businesswoman; and “Waled,” 28, married, and also identified as a business owner.
Investigators said the two had been under surveillance for some time before the operation was launched.
The joint operation was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s Rizal and Cavite provincial offices, together with the Silang Municipal Police Station.
Aside from the seized contraband, operatives also recovered the buy-bust money used in the sting.
The suspects face charges for violation of Section 5 in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Both remain in custody as authorities prepare the filing of the appropriate charges.
