KAWIT, Cavite — Police arrested a provincial most-wanted suspect on drug charges Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Warrant officers from the Kawit Municipal Police Station apprehended the suspect at approximately 5:10 p.m., according to Lt. Col. Kristine V. Paras, the station’s officer-in-charge.
The suspect faces charges under Republic Act 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and was listed among the province’s most wanted persons at the time of arrest.
Paras said the operation reflects the station’s continued efforts to crack down on illegal drugs and other criminal activity, in line with priorities set by the Philippine National Police chief.
No further details about the suspect’s identity or the location of the arrest were immediately available.
