Two-Story Wooden House Destroyed by Fire in Dasmariñas

DASMARIÑAS, Cavite — A two-story wooden house was completely destroyed by fire early Sunday morning in Block A-12, Barangay San Luis 2, authorities said.

According to initial reports, the fire broke out around 1:12 a.m. while the homeowner, identified only as “Raymond,” was attending a wake. He was alerted by his child that their house was burning.

Firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection, led by SFO1 Joevic O. Manalo and FO1 Reynald L. Patricio, officer-in-charge, responded quickly and declared the blaze under control at 1:29 a.m. The fire was fully extinguished by 1:43 a.m.

Raymond said the house had no electricity and that the family had been using rechargeable lights.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and the total amount of damage. No injuries were reported.
