Toll operator Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) has donated 900 school supply kits to public schools in Cavite and Parañaque as part of its support for the Department of Education’s annual Brigada Eskwela initiative, held this year under the theme “Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa.”

The donation drive took place from June 9 to 11 and aimed to assist families in preparing for the 2025–2026 school year, as well as equip students with essential materials for a confident return to class.

Beneficiary schools included institutions in the cities and towns of Imus, Silang, General Trias, Kawit, Bacoor, and Parañaque. Among the recipients were Alapan II-A and II-B Elementary Schools, Hipolito Saquilayan High School, and Tibig Elementary School, as well as schools in Barangay Moonwalk, Sto. Niño, and San Dionisio.

Each kit contained basic school supplies such as notebooks, pens, pad paper, crayons, and a plastic envelope.

A highlight of the program was the turnover ceremony held at Salinas Elementary School in Bacoor, coinciding with the official city launch of Brigada Eskwela 2025.

MPT South Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management Arlette V. Capistrano emphasized the company’s commitment to education as part of its corporate social responsibility.

“With every kilometer of our expressways, we bring opportunities closer to Filipinos—and a key part of that is education. Brigada Eskwela represents collective action to ensure that every child has support on their learning journey. We are proud to be part of this mission,” Capistrano said.

The donation forms part of MPT South’s CSR program, which focuses on education, environmental protection, road safety, and livelihood development.
