Police in Kawit, Cavite are strictly enforcing the “No Plate, No Travel” policy to ensure road safety and traffic law compliance, authorities announced.

The Kawit Police Station issued a reminder that vehicles without official license plates or temporary permits from the Land Transportation Office are prohibited from traveling on public roads. Drivers must also carry their Official Receipt and Certificate of Registration at all times.

Police warned that violators face arrest, fines and vehicle impoundment during checkpoints and inspections.

The “No Plate, No Travel” policy was implemented nationwide by the Department of Transportation and the LTO to address the proliferation of vehicles operating without proper registration documents.

The policy aims to improve road safety, reduce traffic violations and ensure compliance with vehicle registration requirements.

Kawit is a first-class municipality in Cavite and is historically significant as the birthplace of Philippine independence, where President Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the country’s independence from Spain on June 12, 1898.

The enforcement comes as local government units across the Philippines intensify implementation of traffic regulations following directives from national transportation agencies.
