IMUS CITY, Cavite – In response to the continued rise in prices of basic commodities, the national government brought the “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” program to Cavite, in partnership with the Cavite Police Provincial Office, led by Provincial Director Col. Dwight E. Alegre.

The Kadiwa initiative aims to provide affordable, high-quality agricultural products sourced directly from farmers in the Calabarzon region.

The program serves a dual purpose: helping consumers cope with inflation and supporting local farmers by providing them with a direct market for their harvests.

According to Gaudencio Genil, chairperson of the Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council Executive Committee, the involvement of the Philippine National Police (PNP) has been instrumental in maintaining peace and order, which he said is essential for the continued livelihood and productivity of local farmers.

“With the police ensuring community safety, farmers are able to work efficiently and sell their goods directly to the public at lower prices,” Genil said.

The agricultural sector expressed its gratitude to the Cavite police for their active role in sustaining order, which helps facilitate smoother operations of initiatives like Kadiwa.

Organizers are planning to make the Kadiwa ng Pangulo a monthly event across various cities and municipalities in Cavite, with continued support from the Cavite PNP.

The Kadiwa program is a flagship market initiative launched under President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s administration to address food security and economic recovery by connecting local producers directly with consumers.
