PNP Arrests Most Wanted Man in Tagaytay

TAGAYTAY CITY, Philippines — Police arrested the top municipal most-wanted person in Tagaytay City, Cavite, on May 8, authorities said.

The suspect, identified only as alias Elize, was apprehended at 4 p.m. in Barangay Kaybagal South by officers from the Mendez Municipal Police Station, said Maj. Ian Jasper Montoya, acting chief of police.

Elize, a resident of Barangay Kaybagal South, was arrested under a warrant issued March 21, 2024, by the Regional Trial Court Branch 15 in Naic, Cavite, for violating the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. The court set bail at 80,000 pesos ($1,400).

The suspect is in custody at the Mendez Municipal Police Station pending court proceedings.

Col. Dwight Alegre, acting provincial director of the Cavite Police Provincial Office, praised the operation, saying it reflects the police’s commitment to justice, especially for child victims. “The Cavite Police will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that those who violate the law are held accountable,” Alegre said.

The Cavite PPO urged the public to continue supporting efforts to uphold the rule of law and protect vulnerable communities.
