7 Suspects Rob GMA Cavite Jewelry Shop of ₱25 Million in Cash, Jewelry
GENERAL MARIANO ALVAREZ, Cavite — Seven armed suspects robbed a jewelry shop in Barangay San Gabriel here at around 9 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, making off with more than ₱25 million worth of jewelry and cash, police said.
The suspects were caught on the shop’s CCTV cameras.
According to a police report, one of the suspects first entered the shop posing as a customer, browsing jewelry displays and asking the teller about prices. Minutes later, he opened the shop’s glass door and signaled to his companions outside, who then entered in succession and declared a holdup.
Two suspects immediately pointed guns at the tellers while the others ransacked the display cases. The suspects also made off with more than ₱1 million in cash.
Within minutes, the suspects had cleared out the shop’s jewelry and cash before fleeing on two motorcycles.
In total, the suspects made off with an estimated ₱25 million in stolen goods.
Police are conducting a follow-up investigation into the incident. (Cristina Go Timbang)
