TWO FRIENDS NABBED IN DASMARIÑAS CITY DRUG BUY-BUST; P170,000 IN SHABU SEIZED
DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite — Police arrested two friends, both on a street-level drug watchlist, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay H2 here, seizing some 25 grams of shabu valued at P170,000, authorities said.
The suspects, identified by aliases Maw and Justin, both adults and residents of the area, face charges under Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, for the sale and possession of dangerous drugs.
The operation was carried out at around 9 p.m. by the joint forces of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Dasmariñas City Police, under the command of Maj. Sandie Caparroso, officer-in-charge of the Provincial Intelligence Unit.
Operatives also recovered drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money used in the transaction.
Cavite Police Provincial Director Col. Ariel Red commended the arresting officers, saying the operation sent a clear message that the Cavite Provincial Police Office would not stop pursuing drug law violators.
“We will continue to intensify our operations to hold offenders accountable and keep our communities safe,” Red said.
