ARMED MEN STEAL STUDENT’S MOTORCYCLE IN TANZA, CAVITE
TANZA, Cavite — Two unidentified armed men carjacked a 21-year-old student’s motorcycle at gunpoint late May 11 in Barangay Santol in this town, police said.
The victim, identified only by his alias “Deybu,” is a resident of Govemar’s Drive, Remulla Drive, Barangay Sahud Ulan, Tanza.
Police said the victim was riding his light blue Yamaha Aerox Version 3 toward Villa Francisca Subdivision at around 10:30 p.m. when two suspects aboard a gray Yamaha NMAX intercepted him.
The backrider, wearing a black jacket, balaclava, and black half-face helmet, dismounted and declared a holdup while pointing a firearm at the victim, according to the complaint.
Fearing for his safety, the victim surrendered his motorcycle. The suspects fled toward Bucal Road in the direction of Anyana-General Trias. No injuries were reported.
Authorities immediately launched a dragnet operation and conducted CCTV backtracking to identify the suspects. The case was also referred to the Highway Patrol Group-Cavite PPO for further investigation and verification.
The victim’s father has appealed to the public for help, asking anyone with information on the stolen motorcycle to report to the nearest police station or contact authorities to assist in the ongoing investigation.
