BACOOR CITY MARKS LABOR DAY WITH FREE HEALTH SERVICES FOR WORKERS
BACOOR CITY — PhilHealth, the city government, and health services provider MWell joined forces Thursday to deliver free medical services to workers in the city as part of a Labor Day initiative aimed at expanding access to healthcare among the local workforce.
The “Yakap para sa mga Manggagawa” event, held at Mainsquare Mall, offered free check-ups, laboratory tests, and medicine subsidies of up to P20,000, while also encouraging workers to register under PhilHealth’s Yakap Program.
The activity was spearheaded by Ma. Obelia Fontanilla, chief social insurance officer of PhilHealth LHIO Dasmariñas, in partnership with the administration of Mayor Strike B. Revilla.
Organizers said the event was designed to bring health services directly to vendors, employees, and other members of the workforce, reducing barriers to medical care.
