Ayala Land to build world-class tennis center in Cavite, open to public
IMUS, Cavite — Ayala Land, Inc. will construct an international tennis center at Vermosa in this city in partnership with the Philippine Tennis Center for Excellence, Inc., which will serve as the main facility of the Philippine Tennis Academy, the Philippine News Agency reported.
The facility will feature eight competition courts, one center court, and 16 pickleball courts, along with training and wellness facilities and Athletes’ Quarters designed to accommodate 60 to 80 trainees.
Officials said the center would also be open to the public to broaden access to tennis and pickleball, and was expected to generate jobs and additional livelihood opportunities for the surrounding community.
The project forms part of the continued development of the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub, which Ayala Land has been positioning as a national center for sports training, competition, and development.
Tennis has gained renewed attention in the Philippines in recent years, with the country producing players who have competed in international tournaments. Pickleball, a paddle sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, has also seen rapidly growing participation across the country.
Vermosa is a mixed-use township development by Ayala Land in Imus, covering over 700 hectares and integrating residential, commercial, and sports components.
