BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Local food historians and culinary experts gathered at Bacoor City Hall’s Revilla Hall on April 15 to celebrate and examine the rich culinary heritage of Cavite during the Calye Culinarya 2026: Pamana ng Kusinang Caviteño forum.
Organized by the Premier Cavite Tourism Board Inc. in observance of National Filipino Food Month, the forum aimed to deepen public awareness of Caviteño cuisine as a distinct and significant part of Philippine culinary culture.
The program centered on two key sessions: Heritage and Foundation, which traced the historical roots of Caviteño cooking, and Globalism and Security, which explored the impact of globalization on local food culture and the challenges of preserving culinary traditions amid modernization.
The Office of the Provincial Tourism Officer participated in the event, which brought together speakers sharing their knowledge on the evolution of Caviteño cuisine.
Organizers said the forum served as a platform to recognize, preserve, and carry forward Cavite’s culinary heritage as a defining part of the region’s identity and culture.
