INDANG, Cavite — The decomposed body of a man was found Sunday in a rocky section of a river in Barangay Bancod, Indang town, Cavite, police said.
The Indang Municipal Police Station identified the victim as Enrique. His age and other personal details were not immediately available.
Authorities received a report from Joselito at about 7:20 a.m., prompting duty investigators to respond to the scene. The body was discovered at approximately 6:30 a.m.
Police said the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, indicating the victim may have been dead for several days before being found.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of death. The Scene of the Crime Operatives has been requested to process the area, and an autopsy is planned to establish if foul play was involved.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Philippine National Police.
