KAWIT, Cavite — A security guard is in critical condition after being shot by a fellow guard inside the Kawit Municipal Hall in Barangay Batong Dalig.
The Kawit Municipal Police identified the victim as 53-year-old Delcon and the suspect as 28-year-old Niño. Both were on duty at the time.
Police reports indicate an argument escalated between the two guards.
The suspect then drew his service firearm and shot the victim in the left temple.
The victim was rushed to San Pedro Calungsod Hospital for treatment.
Investigators recovered a .38 caliber Armscor revolver, containing five live rounds and one spent cartridge, at the crime scene.
The suspect is currently in police custody. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
