SILANG, Cavite — A family in Silang has raised alarm after discovering that the tomb of their loved one at Ambalada Cemetery was desecrated and set on fire, authorities and relatives said.

Kevin Harold Aguilar, the brother of the deceased, said the grave was smashed open and sawed apart, while clothes and other items the family had left as offerings were burned.

“Napaka walang puso naman ng gumawa nito… Binasag na at nilagari lagayan mo, di pa nakuntento, sinunog pa mga pabaon namin,” Aguilar said in a Facebook post.

The incident has sparked anger and fear among residents, who are calling for tighter security measures and immediate action to prevent similar acts of desecration.
