DASMARIÑAS, Cavite — Construction is underway for the University of the Philippines – Dasmariñas Technology and Innovation Campus, a major addition to the fast-developing University Town district in Villar City.
Envisioned as a premier hub for technology, research, and industry collaboration in Southern Luzon, the new campus aims to train the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators through future-focused academic programs.
Officials said the facility will provide students with the infrastructure and opportunities to conduct cutting-edge research, design projects, and engage with industry partners at a global standard.
The UP campus will serve as an anchor institution within Villar City’s University Town — a mixed-use development designed to become a center of learning and innovation in Cavite. It is expected to strengthen the city’s positioning as the “University Capital of Cavite,” which already hosts a cluster of leading educational institutions including De La Salle University – Dasmariñas, Emilio Aguinaldo College – Cavite, and the Technological University of the Philippines – Cavite.
Beyond traditional academic instruction, the UP Technology and Innovation Campus is also set to establish ties with international and local industries to drive research, professional training, and real-world applications of new technologies. No date has been announced yet for its opening.
